Winter sports in Vysočina

Winter in Vysočina is sometimes rough and cold, but it has his own charm, you can know it during your walks and skiing trips. In the last years the nature has been open-handed to us and has given us a lot of snow. Although there are not the same conditions as in the mountains, but you can find here snow-covered downhill courses and can agreeably get tired on the running routs.

The Town Nové Město in Moravia is well known to the cross-country skiers. You will find there well-treated cross-country skiing tracks, famous from the sport event Zlatá Lyže (Golden Ski), but in Bystré and its vicinity you can find a few good tracks too.

At Hamry, 3 km from Bystré, you can enjoy a downhill course 380 m long and artificially snow-covered, and nearby you will find a little pub offering grog and good dishes.
In case of a greater number of interested persons, the ski lift staff will enable the skiing even out of the defined time.
